What We Can and Cannot Help With
We care deeply about providing safe, appropriate support — and that sometimes means being clear about what’s outside our scope.
We do not offer care for:
Anyone under age 16
Active suicidal thoughts with a plan or intent
Ongoing treatment with multiple controlled substances or antipsychotics
Frequent psychiatric hospitalizations
Pregnancy and prenatal care
Organ transplant care or transplant-related monitoring
Surgical procedures or surgical recovery
Emergency care that requires in-person stabilization or ER-level intervention
If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
If you’re in emotional distress or thinking about suicide, you can call or text 988 anytime for immediate support.
Resources and Additional Support
We know it can be hard to seek care — and even harder to hear that something isn’t a fit. If we can’t safely support you directly, we’ll help connect you with trusted teams who can.
Here’s what we recommend for specific situations:
💬 Mental health crises
If you're experiencing suicidal thoughts with a plan or intent, please seek immediate care via 988, 911, or the nearest ER. Mental health professionals trained in crisis response are the safest resource in that moment.
💊 Complex psychiatric or addiction care
We don’t manage care that involves multiple antipsychotics, frequent psychiatric hospitalizations, or long-term controlled substances (like opioids, benzos, or stimulants). We recommend working with a dedicated psychiatry or addiction medicine team. Once care is established, we’re happy to collaborate.
🤰 Pregnancy
We don’t lead prenatal or obstetric care, but we’re available to support you alongside your OB — especially with things like sleep, supplements, and general health.
👶 Under age 16
We don’t provide pediatric care, but we can refer you to trusted pediatricians or child/adolescent resources and mental health professionals.
🫀 Transplant care
If you’re a transplant recipient or need transplant-related monitoring, we recommend staying connected with your specialty transplant team for high-touch follow-up.
🩺 Surgery
We don’t perform surgical care or recovery management, but we can help with pre-op evaluations and post-op support when appropriate.
🚨 Emergencies
Any situation that requires in-person stabilization, imaging, or immediate medication should be handled by your nearest emergency room or urgent care facility.
Still not sure?
Just message us. We’ll tell you clearly and kindly whether something is in our scope — and help you get to the right place if it’s not.
